Careers

Applying for a new position when you are comfortable at your current workplace can be a daunting proposition. So why should you take the leap and apply for an Occupational Therapist position at Action OT?

We are a small but innovative company, owned and led by an experienced OT who has a passion for helping OTs be the best they can be. Nikki is a present and stable leader who offers extensive supervision and mentoring, both individually and as a team. You won’t be sent out with a full caseload of back-to-back clients on your first day, week, month – or ever. You will be mentored through the first weeks and months of your employment and once comfortable, you will be able to manage your own caseload and target that caseload towards your areas of interest.

Action OT has regular training sessions and offers opportunities for CPD throughout the year, as well as attendance at events such as the Hunter Disability Expo, Sydney ATSA and HOT Day to ensure our therapists keep up to date with the latest assistive technology innovations.

We aim for a great work/life balance for our staff with flexibility of hours, full or part time positions available, working from home arrangements, low billable hours (50% KPI for all staff, with new graduates and early career therapists increasing to this amount over their first 6 months working for Action OT), competitive remuneration, and a great and supportive team that makes going to work as enjoyable as possible. A dedicated support team also ensures you don’t spend your days doing endless administrative tasks and can focus on your core role of assisting clients to live their best lives possible.

Action OT has excellent end of year celebrations, plus unlimited supply of the essential Cs – coffee, confectionery, and cookies – and often cake! We all have a great sense of humour, so you can expect to have a few laughs over the lunch break too.
